Just A Small Weld Shop

Our company was started in 1956 by George Kern. Mainly servicing the local farming community, George never realized what the future would hold.

 

Changes

In 1985 Swanton Welding was purchased by George’s Son-in-law, Norm Zeiter. Under His leadership we have grown from a small weld shop to one of N.W. Ohio’s largest fabricators with a division in Griffin GA.

In 1997 Swanton Welding purchased Pilliod Fabricating company.

A Great Millennium

The year 2000 has been very prosperous as Swanton Welding entered a period of rapid growth that is still continuing today. The following highlight our growth:

Renovated 30,000 sq. addition for Fabrication Division in 2000

Purchased 100,000 sq. ft. facility and began production division in Griffin GA in 2000

Purchased 50,000 sq. ft. facility and began Production Division in 2004

Purchased 35,000 sq. ft. and expanded Production Division in 2005

Purchased 65,000 sq. ft. and expanded Structural Division in 2006

Purchased an existing fabrication company called US Fabricating.
